Ivan is a stunningly beautiful 7 year-old registered Dutch Harness Gelding. He stands at 16.1 hands and stands out with his solid, fancy build. Ivan is a very friendly horse and is used to being around many different animals and loves attention from people. He stands to be groomed and bathed and is great for vet and farrier. He also comes up to you in a big pasture.
Ivan is an easy to ride horse, especially considering how big and stout he is and will tolerate a mistake from a greener rider. He is a lot of fun to ride and has a ton of potential for the dressage show ring. All his 3 gaits are smooth and easy to sit to while he moves very elegantly. He has been started low level dressage and will leg yield and turn on the haunches. Ivan is a safe horse and has not shown to be afraid of anything we brought to him such as dogs, cars, atvs, tarps, umbrellas, poles, cattle, weed whackers … you name it. He loves trail riding and has been used around the ranch to check cattle. You can open and close all your gates, and he will ride out alone or with others and will go wherever you point him, across fields with cattle, up and down hills, passed machinery, through water without batting an eye, always ready to please.
He is a very kind, honest and trusting horse with a great disposition and is looking to bond with his owner.
Ivan rides the same if he isn’t ridden regularly and he is more of a push to go ride overall. Ivan is also broke to drive and will therefore listen to any voice command excellently.
Ivan is a very respectful and well-behaved horse. He is willing to do anything he is asked. His sweet personality will make him bond easily with his new owner and he would make a great addition to any family. Ivan will stand tied all day if you ask him to and he stands to mount from the ground or at the mounting block for you to mount from either side.
